From initial enquiry through to project design, fabrication and supply, we offer a total service to our clients in the Rail & Infrastructure industry including Network Rail, London Underground, Transport for London and main contractors. With experience on some of the most prestigious Rail projects in the UK such as Crossrail and HS2, you can be assured that our products have undergone extensive testing and certification before being placed on the market.

Most of our innovative systems that we supply to the Rail Sector, including best-selling ZedSPAN® structural tread and landing system, GridEX® track walkways, and VulcaGR!P® stair tread and landing covers, are manufactured from GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic/Fibreglass) which offers huge benefits over traditional materials such as steel, with its high strength to low weight ratio, long design life and non-conductive properties.

Track Crossing Walkway

GRP Track Walkways

Waux’ track crossing system composed of GridEX® GRP Grating, UvTEX® Pedestals and Waux clips & fixings, sits between the railway tracks to provide a safe crossing point for site engineers. As shown here at the MMA Depot, the non-conductive properties of GRP ensure the walkway is safe, despite close proximity to the rail.

For site engineers to safely access the railway from the road, Waux GRP staircases offer a straightforward and secure route over large obstacles such as embankments. Prefabricated in large units by our specialist manufacturing team, Waux structures arrive on site in kit form for simple installation.

GRP Trackside Fencing

Traditional materials, such as steel, are often insufficient when it comes to fencing in areas of high voltage. Waux GRP Fencing provides the ideal solution and has been internally tested to three different British Standard requirements.

Waux have a huge range of standard and bespoke access structures for use on the rail, including: hopups, drivers access platforms, stepovers, mobile working platforms, signal box access and end of platform stairs. All our structures are manufactured out of E23 Grade GRP components by our specialist fabrication team in Surrey.
