Supporting Main, Roofing & M&E Contractors

Back-of-house areas such as the roof, are often full of plant, services and other obstacles that need to be navigated by construction workers and maintenance personnel. Many contractors are turning towards GRP access structures as its lightweight properties facilitate transport up to roof level.

Read our quick guide below to understand which kind of structure will best suit your environment:

GRP Stepovers

For shallow obstacles that are under 250mm high, a simple stepover may be sufficient. Waux stepovers are lightweight and can be simply placed on site by hand.

GRP Hopovers

For larger obstacles and services, Waux hopovers are the way forward as we fabricate to the correct width, height and going to suit your site.

GRP Walkways

GRP service walkways are useful for access between HVAC units and alongside other plant.

Extended GRP Hopovers/GRP Walkovers

A mix between a hopover and a walkway, our GRP walkways can have integrated stairs either end.

GRP Ramps

Who said hopovers had to be stairs? Waux GRP hopovers can be ramped either side which enables site engineers to wheel machinery across areas that may otherwise be hard to access.

GRP Hopups & Access Stairs

Waux GRP stairs enable easy access between varying levels on a roof. A stair that is three treads or less is known as a hopup, these are very useful for accessing roof hatches or doorways.

GRP Ladders

No room for a stair? For angles greater than 45 degrees, cat ladders or ships ladders can be used, allowing engineers to navigate tight spaces.
