GRP Systems designed to provide Safe Access to Tanks and Filters

Thanks to our increased capacity and install service, we have recently been involved in fishery development projects within the Aquaculture Industry, taking care of the access packages to ensure safe and compliant access for staff and visitors.

Our range of bespoke GRP structures include gantries, staircases, platforms, hopovers, ladders, inspection hatches, and elevated walkways over water tanks.

Glass reinforced plastic is an ideal material for this kind of environment as it does not rust or rot, so is virtually maintenance free, and our GridEX® Grating has a gritted anti-slip surface to prevent slips, trips and falls in wet conditions.

Using our CAD drawing software and technical expertise, we can take a concept and provide a detailed design, or work from client drawings to create a 3D model of the final GRP structure. Throughout the design process, you will have the opportunity to adjust and control the final outcome, ensuring a completely bespoke setup to match the layout of the premises.

GRP Cat Ladders

Our GRP cat ladders are chemical resistant and non-rust, making them an ideal alternative to steel within aquaculture facilities. They can be incorporated with raised walkways, gated platforms and handrail systems. The castellated ladder rungs offer secure underfoot safety.

GRP Raised Walkways

Our walkway systems are composed of GridEX® Grating and TrekRAIL® prefabricated modular handrails. Built to suit the height of specified fish tanks, our raised gantries are bespoke, which allows for safe and easy passage either around tanks or spanning across them.

GRP Access Staircases

Robust, durable and prefabricated in units ready for site assembly. These lightweight GRP access stairs can enhance access to fire exits, fish tanks, doorways and more. They are completely customisable, such as this one to the abattoir which had mesh infill handrails and risers to avoid fish dropping through the gaps.

GRP Access Hatches

Waux can create custom made lockable hatches within walkways, to provide secure access to pumps, tanks and dry wells. The hatches are made with GridEX® Grating, allowing them to blend in on any walkway. With the GRP grating being lighter to lift, the openings can be made larger to enable better access.
