MOWI Scotland has been upgrading and building new broodstock facilities in two rural areas of Scotland, Inverpolly and Ardessie, where safe and easy access to filters and tanks was a priority.

After being approached my MOWI, Waux conducted a customer visit and site survey to gauge the extent of the works, and to ensure that we could help with the complex needs of these projects.

Waux worked closely in collaboration with MOWI, to design and fabricate many different bespoke systems around different work areas on the site, creating the safest and most efficient way to work for the maintenance personnel and operators.

In the design process of these products, Waux ensured that they could be installed with no disruptions to proposed tanks and pipework. Creating fabrication drawings, 3d models and working with site drawings ensured that no complications arose during installation.

The GRP systems were prefabricated in our workshop, before being broken down into large sections, then delivered to site on a dedicated load. Various structures that were fabricated include gantries protruding across 8 metre tanks, and halfway across 10 metre tanks, along with access ladders and staircases.

Installation was conducted by a team of experts, regularly supervised by Waux to ensure precision and the best standards.

Ongoing projects continue at Ardessie and Inverpolly, where bespoke curved GRP platforms await installation.
