Adjacent to Stratford City, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, also known as the ‘Olympic Village’ was the final set of stairs on a very large scheme and one of the main walkways down towards the River Thames. Special colours were introduced and the LRV had to be checked to ensure contrast.

This project involved a number of site surveys, design, and installation advice, and finally delivery of goods to site, ready for rapid install. Our aluminium stair edging OxClaw® EX30C was chosen by the customer, which is specifically designed to meet AFA standards, exceeding anti-slip test results. The system was completed with the TP450G from our tactile range of which is designed to warn visually impaired persons of the presence of specific hazards; stairs, level crossings or the approach to on-street light rapid transit (LRT) platforms.

By working closely with the main contractor, all goods were delivered on time and within budget to ensure seamless installation.
